Ask Us:

Is my penis small or large? What's normal?

Like bodies, penises come in all different shapes, sizes, and colors. The size of your penis is determined by genetic traits that you've inherited from your parents - just like your eye color and your height. So there's no "normal" size, because everyone is different. Studies have shown that the average penis size ranges from 2-4 inches without an erection, and between 5-6 inches with an erection.

If you have serious concerns about the size of your penis or you're late going through puberty, talk with your health care provider.
